　　In the book it said:" Boa constrictors swallow their prey whole, withoutchewing it. After that they are not able to move, and they sleep through the sixmonths that they need for digestion."

　　I pondered deeply, then, over the adventures of the jungle. And after somework with a colored pencil I succeeded in making my first drowing,My DrawingNumber One. It looked like this:

　　I showed my masterpiece to the grown-ups, and asked them whether thedrawing frightened them.

　　My drawing was not a picture of a hat. It was a picture of a boaconstrictor digesting an elephant. But since the grown-ups were not able tounderstand it, I made another drawing: I drew the inside of the boaconstrictor,so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. In this occasion, the pilot makes theacquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, theAsteroid B612. The little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because hehas some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. In that case he lefthis own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids.

　　Traveling onthe earth, the little prince, who sees a garden offive-thousand roses, is overcome with astonishment and sadness, as he considershis rose is unique in the universe before. At that time a fox appears. The fox,who tell the little prince about the meaning of the word “tame”， becomes his newfriend. At the time to say farewell, the fox makes him know that his rose isunique because she is his rose and tamed by him. From that the little princebegins to treasure friendship and be responsible to his rose.
